Meet the Bedroom Rave Family
Born from the mind of Hyparex, Bedroom Rave Records is currently a one-man operation focused on unleashing raw, bedroom-built tracks meant for the dancefloor and not forgetting the kitchens lol. The blueprint is simple: build the foundation now, and bring on a full roster of artists once the label is firing on all cylinders. For now: one voice, one vision. Let's 'ave it

HYPAREX
Founder, Producer, & Heartbeat of Bedroom Rave Records
My journey into electronic music started back in the late 90s, armed with nothing but a PlayStation music game and a massive passion for electronic sounds. It wasn't long before I jumped behind a pair of cheap Gemini belt-drive decks under the alias B-Line Baw. Those decks were a nightmare—sometimes they’d completely break mid-set, forcing me to mix using a cassette tape player just to keep the music going. Now that was hard graft!
After a long hiatus away from the scene, 2007 changed everything. I got my hands on a copy of Fruity Loops (FL Studio) and I was hooked for life. I started locking myself away, crafting heavy Trance and Hard Trance sounds specifically to smash out at underground free parties across Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, hosted by the Relentless soundsystem. Trance and Hard Trance will always be my absolute roots, but after years of constant learning, I expanded my arsenal into reverse-bass Hardstyle.
By 2010, the hard work began paying off with around 13 official releases on labels like Harderstyles Records. I took home Runner-Up in a remix competition for SEUA Digital Records, securing an official release. In 2012, I repeated that success, scoring another Runner-Up spot in a remix competition for the mighty Digitally Infected label with my official KloneZ Vs Busho - Wreak Havoc (B-line Baw Remix). Following that massive milestone, I officially closed the chapter on my old alias and changed my artist name to Hyparex to mark the evolution of my sound.
Following an extended break from the studio, I plugged back in during 2018. To mark this fresh start and a brand new chapter in my production journey, I fully committed to the Hyparex identity. I spent a few years diving deep into Bass House, which completely leveled up my sound design and synthesis skills. By 2022, the pull of my roots was too strong; I got back into Hard Trance, Hard Dance, and Trance in a massive way, and I haven't looked back since.
The signings started flooding in again. In 2023, my track 'Poom Poom' was signed to Alternate State (a sub-label of Positive State), and 'Whips and Chainz' found a home on Fatal Energy Records. 2024 saw me sign the massive vocal anthem 'Times of Existence' to Radiation Recordings. The momentum exploded in 2025 with my multi-track release featuring 'Fire', 'French Toast', & 'Phone Zombie', alongside the heavy-hitting single 'Fake As Fck'*, all dropping on Fatal Energy Records. To top off a massive year, I released a full album—Hyparex Presents: The Journey—via Underground Sounds, run by the absolute legend Mick Marshall, aka DJ M-Zone.
Towards mid-2025, I decided it was time to take complete control of my destiny. I built Bedroom Rave Records so I could self-release my tracks with 100% creative freedom.
But here’s the real twist to my story: I don’t hit the clubs as much as I used to. I’m a single dad to three incredible kids, two of whom are on the autism spectrum. They are my absolute world, and taking care of them takes up most of my time. Because of that, my raving has to happen in the kitchen or bedroom these days while they’re asleep—speakers blasting, neighbors probably questioning their life choices 🤪. That’s why my tracks are made for both sides of rave culture: the ones tearing it up in the warehouse, and the ones losing it at home in their zone.
Looking ahead, my next massive release is dropping on Fuel Records titled 'We’re F*cked Up', a track deeply rooted in mental health and the heavy effects of social media.
Down the road when the kids are grown up a bit more, the ultimate goal is to get back out behind the decks and DJ these tracks live at events. But until that day comes? I am loaded up with a massive pipeline of new tracks ready to unleash right here from the bedroom.
The venues may change, but the energy never will. Let's 'ave it!
